You can tap the tempo in, or just write the exact BPM you want. Tap the Tap beat button to set the tempo. This application also includes a Tempo & Pitch Calculator which is useful when. A tap sound is played to make it easier to stay on beat. This has gotten very seriously frustrating. The metronome you find at the top of this page really does have it all. If more precise control of the tempo is required, use the 5, 1 and 0.1 BPM buttons on the base of the metronome. Tap the tempo of a song and get an estimated BPM. To taunt me further, Playback itself recognizes that the file it is playing is in 120 BPM, whenever I try to click/touch/do-anything with that it simply says, "Disabled" in a tiny popup that I can't seem to discover the origin of. I've tried mapping a fader, a knob, and every other damn thing I can think of to the tap tempo, but still can't get it to just go to exactly 120 bpm. I've tried mapping a parameter/text tool to the tap-tempo, but It won't let me write, "120" My question is this: Isn't there a really easy way to type in the tempo I want the metronome to play at? I'd think so, since that seems like a really reasonable thing to put into a program like this, but I can't find it. I've spent alot of time trying to tap out a perfect 120 BPM in order to match up with my backing sample track (playing through Playback), but of course I'm no robot, so the closest I can possibly get is 120.4 BPM, which sounds off after a good minute or two. ![]()
